Greetings Marching Panther Fans!!!

 

If you have received this e-mail in error, we apologize. Please e-mail us and let us know that you no longer want to be included.

 

In October, there are a number of events coming up that will close out the Marching Panther’s Fall Marching Schedule:

 

Saturday, October 14th: Metamora Parade and Field Competition

11:30                           Doors Open

12:30                           Bus Leaves

12:45                           Arrive – Dress – Full Uniform

 1:20                            Warm Ups

 2:12                            PARADE COMPETITION (15th Performance)

 2:35                            Change clothes – Load Bus – Head Home

 3:00                            Rehearsal at WCHS                            

 

 After Rehearsal           (between 4 – 4:30)    Free time – leave campus to go eat

 

 6:00 p.m.                     DOORS OPEN

 6:30 p.m.                     Busses Leave

 6:45 p.m.                     Arrive Metamora – Dress

                                     WARM UPS at town square (by the gazebo)

 8:00 p.m.                     Leave for warm up field

 9:00 p.m.                    COMPETE – METAMORA (16th Perf.)

10:50 p.m.                   Approx time home

Tuesday, October 17th: 6:15 – 9:15 “Fill The Stands” at Babcook Field.

This is the last rehearsal for the band prior to their U of I competition. Come on out and support band!!!

Thursday, October 19th: Choral Concert and Recording Session

7:00 p.m.                         Choral Concert

8:15 p.m.                         Recording session

We would also like to load the uniforms (including hats, shoes, gloves, black socks, etc) in the trailer prior to the  Choral Concert / Recording session. 

Saturday, October 21st: U of I Marching Competition

5:45 a.m.                     Doors Open

6:45 a.m.                     Busses Leave (we will stop at a rest area on the way)

                                   Arrive – dress, warm – up

10:15 a.m.                   STEP OFF FOR PARADE COMPETITION (18th Perf)

After this, we go back to the busses and change

 

TWO OPTIONS

A. Go back to the stadium – watch bands QUIETLY

B. Go out to eat with BAND CHAPERONE / PARENT. BUSSES will go to various food places

 

***YOU MUST BE WITH A CHAPERONE OR PARENT ANYWHERE ELSE

THAN AT THE STADIUM *** ALSO – BRING A NOTE IN BEFORE

SATURDAY IF YOU WILL RIDE WITH ANOTHER PARENT TO LUNCH

 

1:30 p.m.                     CALL TIME AT BUSSES - Band warm ups – stretching – playing

2:30 p.m.                     Dress

2:55 p.m.                     Warm up with Uniforms On – Tune

3:30 p.m.                     Leave for field

4:10 p.m.                    FIELD COMPETITION (19th Perf.)

                                   PICTURES – QUIET AND QUICK

                                   STAY UNTIL PIT IS LOADED

                                   After this, we go back to the busses and change

5:10 p.m.                    TAILGATE with Alumni, Family and Friends (we provide)

 

Please allow any Marching Illini and those students and parents interested in watching the Illini Drumline warm up go through the line first, followed by the rest of the current  Marching Panthers. Once these groups have gone through the line, all are welcome!!!

 

After tailgate              Back into the stadium – or with Bob to watch Drumline warm-up

                                 Sit TOGETHER in upper right balcony

                                 QUIET DURING PERFORMANCES..

                                 You are right by the judges

 

7:45 p.m                    Marching Illini Performance (EVERYONE AT STADIUM)

8:15 p.m                     Awards – (right back to busses after awards)

10:30 p. .                   VERY APPROX TIME HOME
