Band Boosters Meeting Rescheduled
Due to the boys' sectional basketball game, the Band Boosters meeting
has been rescheduled to Monday, March 12, at 7:00 pm.
Meetings are held in the WCHS band room. If you have a student in
the band program, you are automatically a member of the Band Boosters.
Like many organizations, we depend on volunteers to help support
the nearly 200 students in the WCHS band. This year, the parents of several seniors will moving on. Attending a few meetings
this spring can help you see the many ways (both big and small) that there are to get involved.
Winds I to Play at Mid-Illini Festival on March 8th
Winds I will represent WCHS at the Mid-Illini Band Festival on Thursday,
March 6th. The festival will be held at Metamora High School. The performances begin at 6:30 pm. Each band will play for approximately
10 minutes. You are welcome to attend and watch our students. There is no charge for admission.
Reservation due by March 10th for Puttin' on
the Ritz
Puttin’ on the Ritz is a fund raiser that is hosted by the
Band Boosters. This year, it will be held on March 24th. It includes a catered dinner, a raffle, a silent auction, and entertainment
by the concert and jazz bands.
The cost of the evening is $20.00 per adult and $15.00
per student 12 and under. There was also the option to buy an entertainment only ticket for $5.00.
We would appreciate your response by March 10th in order to provide an accurate head count to the caterer.
