Band Highlight DVDs
Remember that the order forms are now due for the 2006 - 07 band highlight DVD. Each senior will receive
one free copy at the band banquet on May 22. Seniors who want an extra copy or anyone else that would like to purchase a copy
should use this order form.
IHSA Organizational Contest, April 20 & 21
The IHSA sponsors a music competition based on solo / ensemble and organizational band performances. After
the solo / ensemble phase, WCHS is in 8th place. (Here are the results. Scroll down to the single A schools.)
The Organizational phase of the contest takes place on April 20 (Friday) and April 21 (Saturday) at Metamora HS.
Thank you for getting your son and/or daughter to these events.
Next Band Booster Meeting, Monday, May 7 @ 7:00 pm
At this meeting, there will be an election for the 2007 - 08 Band Booster officers. If you would like more information
about open positions, please contact Steve Mellican, Band Booster President, at mellican@insightbb.com.
The Boosters continue to do great things for our students. At the last meeting, we approved scholarship money for students
to attend summer camps. We also approved some funding for new instruments. Planning is underway for next year's band
camp and invitational.
