Better Today than Yesterday,

Better Tomorrow than Today!

Continuously striving for excellence.

Since Wilson Central High School opened its doors in 2001, the band has grown from 31 members to over 120 members strong. The program consists of two concert bands, marching band, winter guard, jazz band, percussion ensembles, and chamber ensembles.

The band consistently earns superior ratings in both marching and concert performance and qualifies perennially for the TMEA State Concert Festival and the Tennessee Bandmasters Association Sweepstakes Award. The Wilson Central Band regularly has members qualify for Mid-State and All-State Band and Orchestra as well as the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts. Wilson Central Band graduates perform in college and university ensembles throughout Tennessee as well as some of the top music schools in the nation.

We strive every day to be “Better Today Than Yesterday, Better Tomorrow Than Today.”
