Our Boosters

The purpose of Wilson Central High School Band Boosters is to encourage students who participate in the band program to excel as students, musicians, persons, and citizens.

Our purpose will be carried out through the following objectives:

• To develop the bodies, minds, and spirits of the students through the avenue of music.

• To stimulate appreciation and support for the school’s band program among students, parents, school personnel, and members of the community.

• To cooperate with those in charge of the instrumental music department and the school board to ensure that the music department maintains the highest possible degree of effectiveness.

• To provide all possible support, both moral and financial, to the instrumental music program at Wilson Central High School.

• To build and maintain an organization of parents and any other interested persons which help promote the general activities of the instrumental music program at WCHS.

• To encourage a competitive spirit among band members with unity and cooperation as a team.

• To encourage the WCHS Band to be a character building institution.

• To plan and carry out fund raising and serve as a means of communication between parents of WCHS band members and other interested parties.

• To promote and support music programs at the middle schools feeding WCHS and developing appropriate communication with those schools to facilitate recruitment for the high school program.

• To promote the values of honesty, integrity, courtesy, and respect for all.
